Social media was buzzing today after a particular image started floating around that made it look like Farah Fath is back at work on Days of Our Lives (DOOL). Now it’s confirmed!
It all started when Robert Scott Wilson (Ben) posted an Instagram story of himself in the DAYS makeup room (see picture below). Fans saw the image, which was also reposted on Jason47 DAYS Website’s page, and immediately spotted a woman in the background who looks an awful lot like Fath.
Now, according to Soap Opera Digest — which was even retweeted by DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati (who wrote for the actress on One Life To Live where she played Gigi), the rumor has become news. Mimi will be seen back in Salem near the end of the year.
The actress was last seen on DAYS back in 2007 when Mimi left Salem after her mother Bonnie (Judi Evans) took the blame for killing Mimi’s dad. In true soap fashion, it was Mimi who actually did it. Apparently, David Lockhart had abused his family and Mimi had suppressed those memories.
Fans recently got a treat with the return of Bonnie, who switched places with her doppelganger Adrienne (also played by Evans) and wreaked havoc throghout Salem as Adrienne. Bonnie did manage to escape town without going back to prison. Does this mean she could be on her way back too?
After all, Bonnie’s cohort, Sheila (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins) will be returning to the show according to the actress’s own social media account. Could that involve Bonnie and therefore eventually Mimi? There are still people in town who Mimi used to know and hang out with.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) is currently involved with Eve (Kassie DePaiva) while Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), who grew up with Mimi, is involved with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).
It might be a lot of fun to see these pals reconnect. But Mimi was even closer to Belle (Martha Madison), Shawn (Brandon Beemer), and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Fans have been asking for them back.
That sure would be a lot of welcomed returns but now that Mimi is returning, it gives the powers that be even more of a reason to bring back the other fan favorites.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
