It hasn’t been a great couple of years in Salem — a good year is the exception… and boring. Numerous fan favorites bit the dust for a variety of reasons recently. But which man’s death made Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans sob their eyes out the most?
Don’t Go, Bo!
You’ve been following the lives and loves of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) since the 1980s. You’ve seen him woo his Fancy Face, you’ve seen him lose his Fancy Face, you’ve seen him with other women, you’ve seen him as a doting dad, and you’ve already watched him die once.
Twice — especially after it finally looked like the path was clear for him and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to live happily after — was cruel beyond words, and prompted 53%, of the over 4,000 who voted, to name Bo’s latest death the saddest.
Sold For Parts
Daniel (Shawn Christian) came to town as Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) long-lost son, and it wasn’t long before every woman was required to fall in love with him. Fans were a bit less enthused, as only 31% were sad to see him go.
Maybe they don’t miss him all that much because he left his heart behind — literally — beating in Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) chest. (Though for how long after Xander shot him, is another story.)

Elvis Has Left the Building
You’d think marrying Sami (Alison Sweeney) would be enough of a punishment, but EJ’s (James Scott) life got even worse when it was ended (was it really, though?). The same went for 14% of the audience, who miss their King most of all.
You Don’t Know Jack
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Abigail (Marci Miller), and JJ (Casey Moss) may miss their husband/dad, but only 1% of you feel the same way. Maybe it’s because Jack started his time in Salem as a rapist before turning into a goofy leading man.
Or maybe because you’ve all been so jerked around by Jack’s coming and going in the past, you just don’t care anymore.
