On Days of Our Lives, Eric is not very happy to find out that Nicole didn’t leave him because she no longer loved him, but because she’d been blackmailed into it by Brady – and his fiancée Jennifer has known all about it for months!
Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) head is spinning! He’s furious with Brady (Eric Martsolf), sure, but he’s saving the bulk of his rage for Jen (Melissa Reeves). Why didn’t she tell him as soon as she found out?
Well, she was afraid of losing him, obviously. And she was right. Eric wants nothing more to do with her. But would the situation have played out the same way if she’d told Eric the truth as soon as she found out? Over 5,000 of you look backward through time.
Same Difference

As soon as the words were out of her mouth that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) still loved him, Eric would have been out of her arms and on the road, looking for the woman he still loved.
The only thing Jennifer would have saved herself would have been the months of guilt. The end result would have still been the same.

Honest Eric
Nope, 14% of you counter. If Jennifer had told Eric the truth as soon as she knew it, everything would have been different. Eric would have thanked her for taking this burden off his shoulders, and he would have fallen even more deeply in love with her.
He’d have realized what a great woman he had, and he’d have finally gotten closure and moved on from the woman he couldn’t have. It would’ve been happily ever after… well, as close as you can get to it in Salem.
