It felt like Theresa had been off Days of Our Lives (DOOL) forever, but when she reunited with Brady, where was the love? Actor Eric Martsolf wishes he knew!
After all, when Jen Lilley left DAYS, she still would talk about how much she missed working with Martsolf and he would do the same.
So when she was finally talked into returning to the show, fans and the actors thought they would at least get a moment to love on each other, right? Well no. Soap Hub spoke with Martsolf to get his take on how her return has worked out.
“We were both very surprised at how this whole thing turned out. We’re like, ‘What is going on? Can we at least love each other for a little while until we have to scream at each other and fight over the kid?'”
Sadly, that never panned out as Brady stayed true to Theresa’s sister, Eve (Kassie DePaiva). When pressed as to why his character has been so cruel to his ex after she gave up her life to protect him and their son, Martsolf tried to explain.

“He was heartbroken that she would actually leave Chloe [Nadia Bjorlin] in the hands of, you know, the drug dealer. I mean, it’s a mess,” he smiled. “I know her hand was forced and that’s a big, big problem. But they’ve had issues in the past with trust and drugs,” he pointed out.
“The love is there but I think there’s always been a little bit of distrust between the two of them as well. ‘Are you doing okay? — I don’t know are you doing okay?’ So I don’t know, maybe they’ll find it in their hearts some day to come back together. One can only hope.”
When asked if Eve is a better partner for Brady, Martsolf, ever the diplomat, didn’t hesitate. “I wouldn’t say better partner, I would say different partner. I would say apples and oranges.”
