Days Of Our Lives stars Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley reunited at the Daytime Emmys this year. Hunley was on hand to help celebrate her pal’s nomination in the Outstanding Guest Actor category. And now, they have even more to celebrate!
The actor who has played both Tony and Andre DiMera revealed on social media that he and Hunley will be back onscreen in Salem this July. While Hunley has only ever played Anna on the show, Penghlis is known for more than one role.
So who will he be playing? Penghlis didn’t let on in his post. In fact, he teased that it could be Andre or Tony. Since both are dead and DAYS has a habit of bringing people back from the beyond, it could be either character, both, or someone entirely new!

Since Tony and Anna are one of the show’s most legendary couples — they brought sophistication and wit to their scenes — many are hoping that Penghlis returns as Tony!
For a while, Anna was walking around with an urn supposedly filled with Tony’s ashes. But now it’s possible we’ll learn that Tony is indeed alive and well. Stay tuned to find out!
