Sal Stowers, who plays Lani on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), has experienced a tragic and personal loss.
Her grandmother lost her battle with cancer and has passed away.
“My heart is broken into pieces,” Stowers posted on her Twitter account. “I truly have no words.”
In 2009, Stowers told Seventeen magazine that, “My grandmother basically raised me. I lived with her until I was 17. We have a great relationship and I respect her…”

Stowers also said that her grandmother initially was against her having a modeling career until after she completed her education. “But when she saw how serious I was about it, she was like, ‘Okay, do it!'”
