Lani was thrown for quite a loop on Days of our Lives and not up for celebrating things thanks to learning that Paulina Price is her biological mother, but off-screen, actress Sal Stowers is busy celebrating a very special milestone.
Happy Birthday, Sal Stowers
That’s because she was born on January 20, 1986, in Pasadena, California, which means that this talented actress is turning 36 years old today! After shortening her given name of Saleisha and moving to Los Angeles, Stowers quickly found herself signed with Photogenecis Model Management.
She modeled for DOMIJ and d.e.m.o clothing. Stowers then appeared in commercials for fast food restaurant Wendy’s and 24 Hour Fitness as well as the music video for the song Welcome Back. She also made two appearances on the Tyra Banks Show where she wore a number of outfits designed by Project Runway contestant Rami.
In 2007, Stowers was recruited for and won Season 9 of the competition reality show America’s Next Top Model. Among her many prizes was a contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics and a cover shoot for Seventeen magazine.
Among Stowers’s early acting credits are two cameo roles in the ABC serial dramedy Ugly Betty, and guest appearances on Mr. Box Office and New Girl. In 2013, she was cast in The Online Network’s continuation of the canceled daytime soap opera All My Children. She made her debut as Cassandra Foster on April 30 of that year and remained until the program’s cancellation.
Subsequent work included one episode appearance on Switched at Birth and Major Crimes. In June of 2015, it was announced that she had been cast as Lani Price on the NBC soap Days of our Lives and she first aired in that role on September 25.
During her downtime at DAYS, Stowers found time to recur on the MTV series Caged, as well as make a guest appearance on The Fosters and a cameo in the Netflix original Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special.
