The Emmy-nominated actress posted on social media an advisory to her followers — get your moles checked!
“A recent, routine visit to my dermatologist resulted in the discovery of a melanoma on my back,” Madison wrote on Instagram. “Lucky for me, the doc noticed it because it never would have occurred to me to think anything of it. Today, they carved the sucker out, and I’m so relieved to say that I’m officially melanoma free!
“This could have been a very different outcome if not for the expertise and care that Dr. Bentow at @dermatologyconsultantsoffrisco provided. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Madison is sharing the experience to encourage folks to take care of themselves. “If you’ve been procrastinating or on the fence about making an appointment, take this as ‘a sign’ and get to it!”
