Days of our Lives Star Lamon Archey Answers Your Burning Questions

 Comments

Lamon Archey is doing double duty, playing lawman Eli Grant on Days of our Lives, and he recurs as Superintendent D’Angelo Carter on The CW high school football series All American. Still, the actor found himself with a spot of free time and knew exactly what he wanted to do with it.

Lamon Archey Answers Your Questions

“Drop some questions below,” Archey tweeted from his official Twitter account. “iGotTimeToday.” One fan, @kclynne34, queried, “Do you & Billy [Flynn, Chad] have any scenes coming up?” Archey replied, “Naw, but he hugged me from the back a little too long yesterday. It was uncomfortable.” Flynn quipped in response: “Wasn’t long enough babe.”

@Blackluv30 wants to know if we’re going to learn more about Carter on All American? “Yep,” Archey replied. “Watch this coming Monday [June 21] on @TheCW.” @PurpleGirl_1100 wanted to know if Archey has any bloopers from the DAYS set that he could show his followers. The good news is that he does, but he’s not about to share them anytime soon! “I have an old one of John Aniston [Victor] but I won’t release it without his and @nbcdays approval.”

In addition to juggling two series, Archey is dealing with two new Salem co-stars – Eli and Lani’s (Sal Stowers) twins Jules and Carver, named after, respectively, Eli’s paternal grandmother Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Lani’s dad Abe (James Reynolds). Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, the show hasn’t been using real-life twins but rather prop babies.

Twitter user @hershey_bar22 asked when we’ll be seeing real-life human beings play Julia and Carver. Archey’s not sure, but he mused, “maybe towards the end of the year. I’m guessing…” Also, @Mygurl1207 asked what the actor’s favorite tattoo or what is the tattoo he regrets getting. “My shoulder tattoo of the earth on fire,” responded Archey. “Under it says ‘hell on earth.’ It’s clearly covered up for the #Days shirtless scenes.”

DAYS is headed for a two-week break this summer from July 23 to August 6 so that NBC can air coverage of the Summer Olympics. One DAYS devotee, @chris_attaway, asked if the show was going to plan either a big explosion or have some shocking secrets be revealed to help entice viewers to return? “I don’t know of any explosion but there is a shocking secret!” teased Archey. “#StayTuned.”

All American airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
