Days of Our Lives star Freddie Smith is officially off the market! The Daytime Emmy-winner, who plays Sonny on the NBC soap opera, wed longtime girlfriend Alyssa Tabit on New Year’s Eve. The two exchanged vows at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando in Florida at Disney World.

Friends and family witnessed the ceremony in a live stream. “We did it!” the newlyweds shared on their YouTube page. “We are officially Mr. and Mrs. Smith! During such uncertain times, the one thing we are certain of is our love for one another. Thank you for sharing such a magical day with us. We love you all so much!”
The couple shared videos and photos on their respective Instagram pages. The bride and groom Facetimed with their respective families. “We’ll get together soon,” Smith promised his family.
“Just minutes away…all right, here she comes,” Smith said as the video cut to Tabit walking down the stairs, a vision in white.
In keeping with COVID-safety protocols, the ceremony was just the two of them plus an officiator. Just like on soaps, the couple wrote their own vows. Smith recalled back to when the couple first met and they agreed to be just pals — but he still found ways to be with Tabit as often as he could. He says there was a magical moment when they looked up at clouds and then into each other’s eyes. “I can’t wait to see you as a wife and mother,” he added. “I vow to always love you. You’re my best friend.”
