Days of our Lives star Eric Martsolf (Brady) has shared news of a deep personal loss on social media and it’s one that hits very close to home for the beloved actor.
Eric Martsolf Honors His Mom
“Heaven was fortunate today to have received this angel,” Martsolf posted on Instagram. “My Mom was the most original mixture of beauty and toughness I’ve ever known. She lived and loved fiercely, and the family unit was always to be treasured and never abandoned.
“Any room was better with her in it, and her storytelling style riveted the toughest of crowds,” he continued. “I will miss the perplexed look on the many waiters’ faces when asking for a large glass of ice to accompany your Chardonnay, and I will greatly miss the outlandish, and sometimes admittedly inappropriate, laughter that we extracted from any situation. Rest now, Mom-and thank you for showing me how to love. I, and everyone who knew you, will miss you. Love, E💙.”

DAYS pals past and present weighed in with supportive messages on Martsolf’s post. “Sending you and your family so much love Martsolf,” wrote Eileen Davidson (ex-Kristen/ex-Susan), Martsolf’s former on-screen love interest, along with several heart emojis.
On Facebook, Martsolf shared his wife Lisa’s thoughts on his beloved mother. “Ahhh where to begin? 💔” Lisa wrote. “It could be how every time I called you for a recipe you said ‘a lot of butta… I don’t measure it, I just add it in til I taste it.’ 😂 Or Maybe it’s how you always created care packages for every celebration, big or small, for the boys. The boys looked for ‘grandmas package’ every celebration. You had such joy in selecting the best and silliest items that kept us laughing for years…”
Lisa added: “You are the angel that will continue to watch over us because that was the kind of mama you were. You will continue to rule up in the heavens because that is the kind of lady you were and with a box of Chardonnay 🥂in hand. Cheers to you mom. You are loved. You are missed and you have left one helluva mark in our hearts.💕 always love. #restinparadise.”
