Days of our Lives fans who follow head writer Ron Carlivati on social media know that the scribe uses Twitter to communicate with the show’s fans and his followers directly. Recently, he retweeted a tweet showing one of the show’s most-anticipated moments, which was welcomed since a breaking news report in the U.S. preempted the entire episode and fans may not have realized how they could watch.
Ron Carlivati Wants You To See This DAYS Moment
Viewers had been wondering who killed Charlie (Mike Manning) ever since the bad guy was found dead back in February. And, earlier this week, the answer was revealed — Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), wearing Belle’s (Martha Madison) red coat, pumped lead into Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) rapist.
Carlivati’s recent tweet (which can be seen below) retweeted a clip showing Jan flashing back to the day she held a pistol on Charlie and fired a bullet into his chest, killing the young man. “Sorry, Charlie,” Jan shrugged. (The line is a throwback to dialogue spoken in a tuna fish commercial for StarKist Tuna that first aired back in the 1960s — ask your parents, kids!)
As seen in the clip, Jan not only is taking glee in Charlie’s demise, but she’s also pleased that not only is suspicion not on her, but it’s on her rival Belle!
Across town, ironically, Belle was being arrested for Charlie’s killing as a button from her red coat was found in Charlie’s apartment. Belle claims she was never there, but apparently, the button was all the proof that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) needed to see that Belle was charged with Charlie’s murder.
Carlivati can be found on social media with the handle @carlivatiron and his Twitter photo is unmistakable — the scribe is shown smiling and behind him are numerous black and white headshots of DAYS cast members. The scribe retweeted a clip posted by @DaysFan28, adding: “Sorry, Charlie.” #days #jandidit.”
Viewers will have to stay tuned to learn just how, when, and why Jan emerged from a coma she was in, managed to snag Belle’s coat, get to Charlie’s place and kill him.
