The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, July 1 features rising suspicions, a jealous husband, and Claire setting out to finish a sinister job. And nothing went as planned at all.
A Bad Honeymoon
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Rex’s (Kyle Lowder) wedding night did not exactly go as they expected. He spent the majority of his time worrying and complaining about Xander (Paul Telfer).
She spent hers being interrogated by Hope about her new necklace. They eventually got on the right track and turned up the heat but it was a long road to romance.
Hope wondered how and why Xander had the necklace in the first place. She badgered Sarah over and over but the new bride did not have the answer. Unfortunately, it was not too long before Hope was distracted by a call from Marlena.
Waiting On Hope
In the tunnels, Ted (Gilles Marini) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) ate, drank, and were as merry as they could be locked in a cement prison. Ted told her about his rescue plan (Hope seeing the necklace) but Kate did not have confidence in the former commissioner.

One Big Issue
Xander managed to keep his not-so-dead friends secret but had more problems with Kristen. Kate and Ted keep getting texts and it is only a matter of time before people worry (especially about Kate). Kristen demanded they come up with a plan. Xander suggested they stop killing people.
Claire Went Ballistic
Meanwhile, major drama unfolded for the Brady clan. Marlena and Ben took care of an unconscious and bloody Tripp. Hope ran to the loft, and the trio soon realized how bad things were. Ciara was a hostage and Claire was a mad woman. The hunt began to find them before it was too late.
Unfortunately, time was running out fast. Claire had Ciara tied to the bed and she was going off the rails. She ranted, raved, and admitted to all her sins. Then, she did the unthinkable and poured gasoline all over her aunt.
Will anyone get there before Claire sarks the lighter and kills Ciara? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
