The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, July 22, 2020 features the aftermath of the devious and vicious wedding attack. Almost everyone was okay, but one person was missing and everyone, including his newlywed wife, feared the worst.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) went from blushing bride to a possible widow in a matter of seconds. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) was on the wrong side of the door and things look bad. Very, very bad. When the rescue crew broke through all Ciara found was his shoe. Was he missing? Or was he blown to smithereens?

It looks like Ben is the only (possible) seriously injured (or tragically dead) person on the list. There were cuts, bruises, and a few knock outs, but all in all, everyone else was well enough.

Is Jake At Fault?

Gabi (Camila Banus) sprained her ankle and was escorted (well, carried) home by Jake (Brandon Barash). He tended to her with ice and kindness, and then made a bombshell confession. He feared the bomb was his fault. What if the goons were still after him?

Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Xander (Paul Telfer) proved himself quite a hero grabbing the young, pregnant Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and rushing her to the hospital. Luckily, her baby was all good. She suffered some smoke inhalation, but she would be okay too.

The act of bravery did not go unnoticed by Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). She got all gooey on the inside and turned to a pile of mush. She even let him stick around the hub and took him up on the offer to escort her home.

Adoption Options

Will (Chandler Massey) stuck close to his sister’s side. The blast did not change her plans to adopt and they talked about her option. Rafe (Galen Gering) was her first choice but it looks like Will has a shot.

Lani Got Her Miracle

Mama-to-be Lani (Sal Stowers) got quite the scare when she started spotting and feared losing her baby. Thankfully, she and her baby ended up okay too. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Doug (Bill Hayes) stayed with her throughout the whole ordeal until Eli (Lamon Archey) was able to get there. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
