The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, July 1, 2021, features Gwen Rizczech confiding the truth to Xander Cook, Paulina Price continuing to lie her socks off, and Ben Weston’s day going from bad to worse.

Poor Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is in quite the tizzy. Ever since she entrusted Xander with disposing of Dr. Snyder’s (Michael Lowry) corpse, she hasn’t been able to eat, or sleep; in fact, she’s acting like this is the first murder she’s been implicated in – and we all know that isn’t the case.
Xander tried to calm her by insisting that he’d well and truly taken care of their little problem – and by offering her donuts direct from the deli. Then, he asked her to level with him. What else is she hiding? How was the bad doc able to force her into a life of pill peddling?
And since she honestly didn’t have anything better to do, Gwen decided to come clean with her pal. Her confession boiled down to, “I made my sister think that she killed my baby, but now I’m starting to think that I shouldn’t have done that, please don’t tell my daddy.” Xander promised he’d keep quiet; Gwen thanked him with a hug; the pair came thisclose to locking lips!
DOOL Recap: Smoke and Mirrors
Neglect resulted in the ruination of the cake she was baking, but it also earned her a decent look at her bare naked brother-in-law, so Chanel Dupree’s (Precious Way) morning was filled with highs and lows.
Lani Grant (Sal Stowers), having decided to adopt the baseball tenant, three strikes and you’re out, asked her cousin – in the sweetest way possible – to get the hell out of her and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) house.

Chanel happily complied – and she happily foisted herself upon her mother dearest. And how could Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) say no to her baby? She’s already planning to crush her hopes and dreams by making it impossible for her to open up that bakery…so of course, Chanel can stay awhile!
