Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) great news was bittersweet news for Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) loved ones. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) had the sad task of telling Doug and Hope who then had to break it to Julie. The Horton matriarch understood the stakes. This could be the end.
Good News, Bad News
As for Kate, she was awake and doing great. She shared all the shocking details of the shooting, live burial, and a homeless man coming to her rescue. It was quite the ordeal. Little did she know, the shooting wasn’t the only time she cheated death this week.
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) fessed up about offering up Katie’s heart to Julie. She laid into Lucas with all the fury she could muster. How dare he give up on her so soon? She forgave him, of course, but she made up someone new to blame, that backstabber Kayla!

The Hunt for Vivian Began
Kate coming back to the land of the living was also terrible news for Vivian (Robin Strasser). Not only was Kate alive but she’s up, talking, and fully aware. Talk about messy!
Stefan and Gabi tried to put the drama out of their mind but that proved impossible. Their romantic night was interrupted by Rafe (Galen Gearing).
He demanded to Viv’s surrender but that did not happen. A cover-up ensued with Gabi rushing the baddie into the tunnels and away from her detective brother.
