The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, July 8, 2021, features Gabi Hernandez showing where her true loyalties lie, Nicole Walker Brady desperately seeking the truth, and Brady Black making an absolute fool out of himself.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

Color Gabi (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) shocked. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) slept together?! And then Sami confided the truth to, of all people, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk)?!

After mulling the facts, Jake decided that it was time to blow Sami’s secret to hell – how better to get back at his jerk of a brother? However, Gabi wasn’t so sold on the idea. Sure, she hates EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) just as much as her lover does, but Sami and Lucas are her daughter’s grandparents – wouldn’t it be bad form to throw them under the bus like that?

Jake made a big show of capitulating…then made a mad dash for the DiMera mansion the minute Gabi’s back was turned! In the end, he couldn’t bring himself to disappoint his lady; and that worked out well for Sami, since Gabi, in turn, handed the marriage-ending missive over to her.

DAYS Recap: Three’s Company

Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) had a field day teasing Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about his “threesome” with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) – and it only got better once Rafe admitted to being haunted by his subconscious…which manifested in the form a talking teddy bear.

The men’s conversation was interrupted by Ava; Rafe feared that she’d overheard him admit to having feelings for Nicole, but Ava was merely there to complain about Gabi and Jake moving into Rafe’s abode.

Days of our Lives Recap: Confrontation Station

Having decided he had nothing to lose, Brady made a play for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), only to learn that her heart belongs to another – namely, his uncle, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). Talk about awkward.

Afterward, Brady crossed paths with Nicole who’d just tried – and failed – to get Lucas to spill everything about his and Sami’s affair. He told her all about his faux pas, and she offered him a shoulder to cry on; she also stole his cell phone. How else is she supposed to get (fellow Sami hater) Kristen’s number?
