Charlie (Mike Manning) revealed his devious plan to get rid of his mother. Instead of killing her, he would commit her. He just had to wait for her old prescription to kick back in. Before long she would be a hallucinating mess and living in the psyche ward. Ava tried to fight back but Charlie already won this battle.
I Know You
Meanwhile, Claire (Isabel Durant) updated Allie (Lindsay Arnold) about her boyfriend. Sure, she spent NYE alone but isn’t Charlie the best? Allie agreed and pushed her cousin to call Charlie and invite him out. She did and Charlie showed up. Little did he know Allie was there and seeing him hit a bit of a deep-seated nerve.
Jack Took On Gwen
Over at the DiMera mansion, Jack (Matthew Ashford) had it out with Gwen (Emily O’Brien) over her secret file. She seemed to have all the answers to cover up her curiosity but Jack was onto her. He beelined it to Julie’s house to update Jennifer.

The Awful Truth
The drama was not over for Gwen. Upstairs, Chad (Billy Flynn) lost it when he caught Abigail (Marci Miller) in Jake’s (Brandon Barash) room. The trio had it out until Abby sent Jake away and laid things out for her husband. No, Chad, she is not the woman sleeping with Jake, Kate is!
Things took a turn once the truth came out but Chad still had questions. Namely, Gwen seeing Jake and Abigail kissing. Abby shot down the accusation, grabbed Chad, and confronted Gwen. She admitted she was lying. Chad was shaken.
Let Them Eat Kake
As for Jake, he came across Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) in the square. The ladies just finished sorting out their mess and were back on good terms. Jen even talked Kate into jumping into her affair with the much younger man.
Jake was a bit apprehensive about getting back with Kate. However, once she agreed to go public, their romance was back on. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
