The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, May 18, 2020, features Maggie preparing for the end, Xander racing to save her, and more baby drama going off the rails.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) took the last minutes of her life (or what she intended to be the last minutes of her life) to write a letter to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). Her forgiveness was a relief but it did not stop the guilt and shame of her actions. She signed her final goodbye to her daughter.
At the same time, Victor (John McCook) was reading his letter. He called Xander (Paul Telfer) immediately when he read she was ending her life. Xander had just heard the real story of Mother’s Day and moments earlier finished hounding Rafe (Galen Gering) to make things right. He ran out of there and rushed right to the prison, beat up a guard, stole his keys, and rushed to Maggie’s cell.
Orpheus Shook Up Rafe’s World
Speaking of Rafe, he’s going to live to regret trusting the wrong person. He and Zoey raised the white flag, agreed to work together, and she even convinced him to let her step in for the sitter. That was a big mistake. No sooner had she sent the nanny away than Orpheus came out to play. Sure, Zoey didn’t plan it but it was easier for her dad to do his bidding.
Thankfully, Marlena (Deidre Hall) showed up at the station to tell Rafe about the baddie’s threats. Rafe put out an APB on Orpheus sending the evildoer down a violent spiral. He grabbed Zoey by the neck and threatened to kill her for backstabbing him. He relented and instead tied her up and went on the run with his grandson.
Regrets and Breakdowns
Meanwhile, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) went to the bar to drink away the pain where she ran into Brady (Eric Martsolf). She screamed and yelled about Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and came down hard on Brady for letting her keep Rachel. Brady explained his side and that this was not Sarah’s decision. She relented and they shared drinks.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) had much the same sentiments and ranted to Nicole (Adrienne Zucker). She shocked him by defending Kristen. She would have gone off the rails (and on the run) too if someone tried to keep her from Holly again. Something clicked for Eric and he understood why Brady and Kristen did what they did.
