Days of our Lives star Jen Lilley is absent from Salem these days and not around as Theresa for Brady/Donovan family events, but, fortunately, she’s got plenty of real-life family milestones to celebrate!

The actress recently posted on Instagram that it’s the one-year anniversary that her son Kayden was officially adopted! “Happy #adoptionday anniversary Kayden!!!!” Lilley posted. “You made me a mom and lit my fire for #fostercare. We love you so much and consider ourselves so blessed to be your mom and dad! You have our hearts forever.
“With the constraints of 2020, our adoption day anniversary looks a little different than planned,” the actress added. “But we’re making the most of it. So far, Kayden’s had a frostie from Wendy’s in honor of @dtfa and the wonderful work they do for children in foster care, and he got a toy from his favorite store @target. The party continues tonight!
“Thank you all for continually praying for us as we navigate #fostercare and #adoption,” Lilley says, “and for supporting my music to build safe and loving homes for kids like Kayden and baby J, who just need a safe place to land and an escape from unimaginable abuse and neglect. ❤️”

The plan is for Kayden’s brother to join the family, too. “Every time I see your posts,” wrote @amtilley, “🙏🏼 his brother will officially be yours soon.”
The actress joined Days of our Lives in 2013 as Theresa Donovan, Kim (Patsy Pease) and Shane’s (Charles Shaughnessy) daughter. She last appeared on the show in 2018. Her recent credits include Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday, Love on Repeat, Love Unleashed, and Paris, Wine and Romance!
