Kristian Alfonso surprised many when she announced that she would not be returning to Days of our Lives when they resume production following the COVID-19 shutdown, ending Hope Williams Brady’s 37-year run in Salem.
Well Wishes For Kristian Alfonso
While shocked fans have sent love and well wishes for the future to the actress on social media, many of Alfonso’s costars have also made their feelings known about their beloved friend and coworker.
Victoria Konefal, who plays Hope’s daughter Ciera on the soap, was one of the first to chime in. “Well said mama😍 proud of you,” she wrote.
Former co-star Greg Rikaart, who played Leo, wished Alfonso congratulations on her big announcement. “Congratulations, Kristian,” he wrote. “I will always be particularly grateful to you for you the kindness and warmth you showed me from day one. How lucky everyone at Days and the fans have been all these years. Enjoy all the next adventures.”
Freddie Smith, whose character of Sonny Kiriakas will be making his last appearance on-screen in September, shared his support and memories, as well.
“It was an absolute pleasure to share the stage with you @kristianalfonso – your professionalism, talent and work ethic has inspired me so much,” he wrote. “Anytime we’d see each other at work, you would always greet me with a big hug and smile asking how myself and Alyssa were doing. That meant the world to me. Thank you for your kind words and advice throughout the years. I’m excited to see your next chapter!”
Others chiming in with well wishes included Lamon Archey (Eli), Paul Telfer (ex-Xander), and Samantha Brady herself, Alison Sweeney, who wrote, “So much love and respect for you” to her on-screen friend and aunt.
Alfonso noted in her penned exit letter that she filmed her last scenes and she is looking forward to the next chapter in her life. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
