Days of our Lives star Linsey Godfrey is facing the same school challenges that many parents are experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that Labor Day is over, most schools have begun, but depending on where you live in the country, students may be learning virtually, going to class in person (wearing masks and practicing social distancing, we hope), or something of a hybrid of the two.
For Godfrey, her 6-year-old daughter Aleda Seren, is doing virtual learning at the start of school. The actress posted the obligatory Back to School photo of Aleda on her Instagram page but she included a beautiful message.
“Our big first grader,” Godfrey wrote. “It’s a weird year… but she’s handling it like a champ. Happy first day to all the kiddos out there (even if today isn’t your first day)”

She also posted an adorable photo of her daughter with a host of tidbits, including that she loves to draw and hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
Godfrey took some time to acknowledge all of the parents and educators who are doing their part to make schooling even possible during the pandemic.
“Thank you to all the amazing teachers out there who are doing a truly incredible job trying to make remote learning the best experience possible!” she wrote. “Thank you to the teachers risking their health and safety doing in-person learning! God speed parents! You’re not alone, we’re all in this thing! You got this!!”
Godfrey’s on-screen alter ego Sarah could use a little happiness after the tumultuous year she’s had, losing two babies in the whole kidnapping/baby swap disaster. The neurotic doctor seems to be finding some comfort in the arms of Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), and hopefully, it’s the start of good things ahead. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
