Sitcom legend Jackée Harry has been dazzling daytime fans lately as Days of our Lives’ sassy Paulina Price, creating a fun storyline for James Reynolds’ Abe Carver as well.

Jackée Harry Takes On New Role

But Harry will soon be doing double duty, landing a new role in primetime. The actress took to her Twitter to confirm the news that was released earlier in the day.

“Alright, [Entertainment Weekly] broke the news..And I’m SO relieved to finally tell you to catch me on the final season of #PoseFX,” Harry wrote, adding a huge multicolored heart emoji. “Consider me honored and over the moon!!!!”

The acclaimed FX drama follows a diverse group of LGBTQ outcasts who find power, acceptance, and family in the ballroom culture of ’80s and ’90s New York City. The show stars Emmy winner Billy Porter as Pray Tell and Mj Rodriguez as Blanca.

The upcoming Season 3 will be the groundbreaking show’s last, as the story jumps to the year 1994 with AIDS as a major focal point, causing Pray Tell to turn to the bottle to drink away his fears. Though HIV-positive herself, Blanca contemplates beginning nursing school.

Harry will be playing Pray’s repentant aunt, who he encounters when he heads home to clear the air with his family. Based on previews, expect another Emmy nod for Porter based on these interactions alone.

Pose’s last seven episodes will also spend a large chunk of time looking at the past. According to EW, the secret stuffed into Elektra’s steamer trunk will come to light once again, while viewers will also learn the origins of House Abundance as see the circumstances behind Elektra’s heart-wrenching estrangement from her mother.

Of course, Harry is no stranger to primetime, having starred as 227’s feisty Sandra Clark for five seasons and as Sister Sister’s Lisa Landry for another five-year run. She’s also guested on numerous shows and appeared in plenty of TV movies.

Pose fans should expect a character that’s full of life and opinions, as Harry is well versed in playing characters who stand out, and we look forward to seeing her opposite Porter when her guest spot airs. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
