During the time his character John Black was a priest, Drake Hogestyn officiated a wedding or two on Days Of Our Lives. Now, he’s attended a real-life one that’s got more that one connection to the daytime world!
Over the recent weekend, Hogestyn’s son Ben Hogestyn wed Danica Stewart, known to soap fans for her run as Jessica on Passions.
Stewart’s first daytime gig was as an aged Maxie on General Hospital in 2002. She replaced Robyn Richards in the role. However, her time in Port Charles was brief. Stewart left the show and Richards reclaimed the part, playing it for a few more years before being recast again this time with Hogestyn’s former DAYS daughter Kirsten Storms (ex-Belle).
The groom, who now has a handbag company (Ben Hogestyn Malibu), has also worked as an actor in soaps. He played the part of GH’s Lucas from 2005 to 2006, and then briefly portrayed the role of Harry on The Bold And The Beautiful after exiting GH.
