No one can argue that Claire Brady hasn’t been through a lot on Days of our Lives over the years. She’s been made to feel second best to her aunt Ciara (Victoria Konefal) with more than one guy she’s been involved with and it caused her to lose her mind (and set a couple of fires). But to the two people she owes the most, she recently did something very wrong and it’s time for her to apologize!

Days of our Lives’ Claire Crossed The Line

Yes, Claire Bear (Isabel Durant) is a bit fragile, but she isn’t stupid. She knows that her Grandpa John (Drake Hogestyn) and Grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) are two of the most honorable people in Salem, respected by all who know them. But that didn’t seem to carry much weight with her on Tuesday’s episode.

Distraught that her romantic interlude with boyfriend Charlie (Mike Manning) was interrupted so that she could talk with John about something, Claire was irate. She had zero patience and felt that Marlena was being completely unfair. But she went even further and told her that she didn’t trust her. Say what?! She doesn’t trust Marlena — of all people?!

Luckily, John quickly arrived after that and tried to explain everything about Charlie’s sordid past (and recent) crimes. But it shouldn’t be a surprise that Claire didn’t take it well. After all, she finally has a boyfriend who doesn’t even know Ciara, so he’s put her first — and she doesn’t want to lose that.

But she accused her grandparents of wanting to destroy her relationship. “Someone who finally loves me for who I am — I will not let you ruin that,” she retorted back to them and then headed out the door. Apparently, there was one of those invisible forcefields on the door because John couldn’t follow her for some reason.

Claire seems to have forgotten who got her out of the mental institution, accepted responsibility for her (despite her giving them the slip her very first day out), and has completely believed in her — her grandparents. That’s no way to thank them.

And considering how right they are about Charlie, she’s going to be eating a lot of crow in the days to come — and we are so here for it! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
