Days of our Lives fans have been eager to see Jackée Harry join the show since the 227 and Sister, Sister actress star announced she would be playing Paulina, a new character coming to Salem.

Now, it looks like Paulina will have some ties to the town, as the show has cast one of her family members and they have a link to the Carvers. The Days of our Lives Twitter feed teased the news.
“Get ready, Salem. A new family is arriving and @blackfilm has all the details,” it posted.
The Tweet linked to a story in Blackfilm.com that revealed musician Precious Way would be playing Paulina’s daughter Chanel. Harry and Way will debut on the show together sometime in March.

Way has done a lot in the business in a short time. After graduating high school at the age of 16, she scored a hit with her first single, Watch Me Go, in 2018. That led to her performing at Disney World, Times Square, and other venues around the country.
She next tried her hand at acting, participating in the American Black Film Festival competition. That led to her scoring a lead role in Partners in Rhyme, a rap sitcom for Urban Movie Chanel, opposite creator MC Lyte.
In the show, Way plays Luscious T, an up-and-coming female high school rapper and social media sensation who thinks she’s all that. The show is expected to premiere sometime in 2021.
Not much is known about the two new DAYS characters, but with the confirmed connection to the Carvers, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn Abe has a troublesome sister that he’s been keeping mum about all these years. With Harry involved, it’s a good bet that Paulina will be somewhat over the top and she’s just the type of person that might be able to lighten Abe up a bit.
As for Chanel, she might be a little jealous of her could-be cousin Lani. And don’t be surprised if Days takes advantage of Way’s strong voice in a storyline as well. Stay tuned!
