What started out as a selfless act over a year ago turned into what many feel was a completely selfish act on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) when Chloe became a surrogate for Nicole and Daniel’s embryo and then refused to hand over the resulting little girl after she was born.
It didn’t matter to Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) took good care of the baby after she fell into a coma following her birth.
Nor did it matter that she never intended to keep the child to begin with and didn’t even tell Nicole she had the embryo implanted.
She rationalized her decision by saying she needed to protect Holly from Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), and even when Nicole made it clear she was no longer with Deimos, Chloe didn’t care and even had Nicole arrested for kidnapping her own child.
However, this week we saw Chloe soften when she asked the judge to go easy on Nicole and next week she makes the decision we’ve all been waiting for.

At first, Nicole thinks her life is about to go from bad to worse when Chloe tells Nicole she’s moving to New York. Nicole thinks she’ll never see her daughter again. And then she’s stunned later on when Chloe thinks of Nicole and Holly and decides they need to be together.
She knows Nicole is with Brady (Eric Martsolf) now, feels Holly will be safe, and offers them a chance to be a family along with Tate.
Nicole, of course, is thrilled and thinks she can finally have the life she’s always wanted. Now, we know things can never be that easy as there’s still a little more trouble on the way.
