Matthew Ashford has been having a great year. His much-heralded return as Jack Deveraux on Days of Our Lives has brought him new popularity. And now his oldest daughter, Grace Ashford, has gotten married over this past weekend and the proud papa is all smiles.
The elder Ashford, looking rather dashing in his suit with a grin that spread ear to ear, shared the fabulous news and photo with his Instagram followers saying, “My daughter Grace and me on her wedding day❤️”
Daughter Grace married her love, Michelle Farinella, on September 14, and it looks from the picture that it was a gorgeous day outside as friends and family gathered to help these two enter the next phase of their love.
For those who don’t know, Grace, who was born in 1992, has a career that has already gone gangbusters! The proud papa spoke with Soap Opera Digest about the incredible work she has been doing.
“Grace graduated from Vassar and got a masters degree in investigative reporting from Columbia University, and is now writing for The New York Times. One of the first things she worked on was doing research for the Harvey Weinstein story — the one the two main reporters got the Pulitzer Prize for.”

As for Matthew Ashford’s day job on DAYS, things are really heating up for Jack as he seems to be getting closer and closer to reclaiming his life. Unfortunately, he has quite the obstacle ahead as his greatest supporter, ex-wife Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), disappears.
