So many wonderful friendships have developed between the Days of Our Lives characters over the years.
Many started out as work relationships with bonds that developed over time. Others came about because significant others were friends, and still others developed with characters who grew up together. Soap Hub asked you which Salem friendship is your favorite.
Work Friends
After over 2,500 of you voted, an overwhelming 85% chose the bond between those former ISA secret agents John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). They’ve come a long way since they first met – when Steve had John (then known as The Pawn) stashed away in his apartment so he could extract money from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). They have been through a lot and helped each other along the way – including way back when dealing with Orpheus (George DelHoyo) after he had kidnapped Marlena. Their bond has only strengthened recently as they worked together to rescue John’s granddaughter and Steve’s son from The Terrible Trio.

Medical Bonds
Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) bond garnered 12% of your votes. These women go back to when Marlena was married to Kayla’s brother Roman, and their mutual admiration continues. Both women risked their lives by rushing through gunfire recently to rescue Abe (James Reynolds) when he was shot in the middle of Horton Square. They continue to support each other through the horrible siege that has overtaken Salem thanks to the escaped convicts.
Childhood Buds
Only 3% chose Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) and Ciara’s (Vivian Jovanni) friendship as their favorite. Recently their mutual attraction for Theo (Kyler Pettis) tested their bond, and only time will tell if it will survive. In the meantime, the same-aged aunt and niece continue to try and help Theo through his fear after his father’s shooting.
