The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, September 18 features those crazy newlyweds, Rafe and Hope, practically at each other’s throats over their lack of trust.
Good Cop, Bad Cop?
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was flabbergasted that Rafe (Galen Gering) suspected she planted the evidence against Ben.
He reminded her it wouldn’t be the first time she broke the law. She felt powerless to get him to believe her but then asked him about breaking Sami out.
He called it showing compassion but she reminded him that he lied to her about it. Rafe also could have followed protocol to do it. Rafe again apologized for hurting her by sleeping with Sami, but Hope said Sami has him wrapped around her finger. Rafe taunted her to punish him and then kissed her. After, Hope walked out.
Shawn (Brandon Beemer) tried to comfort Belle (Martha Madison) after Marlena’s outburst. He updated her about Ben and voiced his concern that his mother might have planted the evidence. Belle told him Hope would never do that.
Kiss and Tell
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) confronted Tripp (Lucas Adams) about his kiss with Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). He explained that Claire had just gotten good news. Ciara told him that she believed her mom and asked him to forgive her for bringing Ben into their home.

He told her she never needed to apologize for being who she is and promised that she’s the only one he wants.
Grand Plan
John (Drake Hogestyn) yelled at Hattie (Deidre Hall) for being too hard on Belle and Sami. Hattie let him know he owed her and to act like it.
We soon learned that Roman (Josh Taylor) got Hattie on board, and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) handled things with the switch at the hospital.
Hattie asked when John would take her home with him but he explained she just came out of a coma. Hattie also wanted food and asked tough questions about what would happen if Marlena doesn’t recover. When John went to see Marlena, Hattie hit on Roman.
