The Days of Our Lives recap for Monday, October 29 features Sami desperate to learn if the bandaged man she saved is really EJ.
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) told Sami (Alison Sweeney) the mystery man’s condition is serious and wouldn’t even agree to a DNA test to see who he really is.
Not truly knowing didn’t stop Sami from sitting by the man’s side, calling him EJ, and begging him to wake up to be with her and their kids.
Sami also had to be there to comfort Eric (Greg Vaughan) and assure him Nicole (Arianne Zucker) wanted him and only him to raise Holly. (This seems like a foreshadowing that there will indeed be a custody case for this child.)
Eric also had to break the news to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) that Nicole died, so it was a day of ups and downs for Maggie. She reunited with the daughter we haven’t seen since the 90s and learned she’s engaged to Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Then, both women learned Nicole’s fate.

Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Rex ran into one another and caught up. He then visited Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and told her everything that happened with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Nicole. Then, they fell into bed. Of course, he may have left out sleeping with Kristen. Hmmm…
Abby (Marci Miller) somehow managed to get a divorce from Chad (Billy Flynn) without Chad even knowing, and then just like that she married Stefan (Tyler Christopher). Chad wondered how this could be since she loves him. So, she reminded him she’s perfectly sane and he wouldn’t even trust her over Gabi (Camila Banus).
Finally, after an hour of arguing, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Chad left and an uncomfortable Abby stayed behind with Stefan and she thanked him for saving her. Stefan looked just as uncomfortable as Abby.
