The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, September 5 features Marlena waking up and seeming okay until she coded right in front of Valerie’s eyes! Will she survive?!
Keeping Vigil
John (Drake Hogestyn) was thrilled when Marlena opened her eyes. He had to tell her she was shot by Sami (Alison Sweeney) and that Kristen was on the loose.
Down The Hall
Brady (Eric Martsolf) continued to worry about Paul (Christopher Sean), who was in surgery. He visited Marlena but then spoke to John privately. Upset, John insisted Kristen needs to be found. Valerie (Vanessa Williams) stopped by to see Marlena just as she crashed.
Stefan (Tyler Christopher) was shocked when Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) showed up asking him to hide her. Stefan wished she’d gone to see Chad because he didn’t want to risk getting in trouble and was about to call the cops. Kristen mocked him and then tried to play him.
With Friends Like Her
Abigail (Marci Miller) told JJ (Casey Moss) that she thinks Gabi (Camila Banus) is out to get her and he felt bad he might have made her paranoid. JJ remembered a conversation with Gabi and realized Abby may be right.
Chad (Billy Flynn) updated Gabi about Paul, whom she seemed to forget she used to be good friends with.
She told Chad that Ari told her Will got his memory back. She then worked on a project for Ari and Chad, a CEO with tons of free time, offered to help. Alone, Gabi was upset the Chabby marriage wasn’t over.

Ah Romance
Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) investigated Kristen’s disappearance and sparks started to fly but both held back.
Lani went to the hospital to find Brady, and Valerie invited her to dinner. Lani deflected, worried she and Eli are about to make a huge mistake. Valerie wondered if she was overthinking it.
Eli saw Julie at the station and made sure she was okay. He admitted he’s been leaning on Lani but he’s worried he screwed things up.
She advised him to be honest with her. He found Lani at the hospital and told her they had a new assignment. They showed up Stefan’s, looking for Kristen.
