The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, March 18 features Marlena seeing what life would be like if she chose the light instead of life.
All About Marlena
Marlena (Deidre Hall) was close to death and waiting for her fate in the afterlife. She raced the sands through the hourglass and prayed she has lived a good enough life to carry her though.
Thankfully, she wasn’t there alone. She had her old friend Tony (Thaao Penghlis) and enemy Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) to help guide her way.
We were treated flashbacks of some of her most magical moments, as well as her stint as Satan back in the 90s. Remember that that pesky time she was possessed and nearly burned down the town?
Later, Marlena got a glimpse into the future. Shocking murders, baby selling, sad relapses, and devastating breakups would rock Salem without Marlena. Her family would completely fall apart without her guidance.

Even the course of John’s life would take a turn when he marries Hattie. In this reality, Hattie was right there waiting when she learned Marlena was dead and made John hers.
She was even treated to some shocking secrets. John and Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) DNA results may be real after all. At least, that’s what Tony said. Oh yes, they are father and son and rock John’s world for years to come.
Fighting For Life
Well, this was enough to push the doc right over the edge. John needs her so she can be by his side and save him from making some terrible mistakes. She decided it was time to go home and reclaim her seat as the head of the family.
