The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, October 2 features John in tears when he realizes that Marlena has woken up from her deep coma.
Miracles Happen
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) grabbed Kristen’s (Stacy Haiduk) gun and she escaped. Roman (Josh Taylor) was just knocked out, but then John (Drake Hogestyn) arrived and was thrilled to see Marlena (Deidre Hall) was awake.
Marlena had questions and John told her about going against the directive. She asked if their loved ones think she’s missing.
Meanwhile, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) visited Hattie, who didn’t know who she was at first. Eve told her everything and was shocked that “Marlena” took her side. Hattie told her to tell Brady to just get over it. Later, Hattie danced with abandon — and was caught by a shocked Sami.
Big Shock
Earlier Sami (Alison Sweeney) caught up with Will (Chandler Massey) and learned about him sacrificing his love for Sonny. Sami thought he was making a big mistake living a lie.
Moving Forward
Paul (Christopher Sean) was happy to see Brady (Eric Martsolf) and confided his doubts about Will’s feelings for him and asked his opinion.

Luckily, Will and Sami interrupted. Sami thanked him for saving her life. Will shocked him by suggesting they live together.
Brady and Eve ran into each other. She told him what Marlena said and he was furious that she lost him his son — as Kristen watched unseen. He left to pack his things and as he went to leave, Kristen was at the door.
In The Clear
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) told Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) that he was set up and a phone call to Hope confirmed it. Once alone, Ciara told Ben he had to leave. She said it’s unfair to Tripp to have him there.
He told her if she ever needs a friend, he’s there. He also said he’d miss her as Tripp watched. Tripp told her she did the right thing but Ciara looked like she wasn’t sure.
