The Days of Our Lives recap for Wednesday, January 2 features Salem reacting to the return of Jack — including his daughter.
Abigail (Kate Mansi) was stunned when JJ (Casey Moss) broke the news that their dad is alive and well. Okay, not THAT well since he does have this memory issues.
Abby couldn’t imagine why Jack (Matthew Ashford) would be staying with Eve (Kassie DePaiva) of all people at The Salem Inn and rushed to see him.
While he said he remembered nothing about her, as soon as Abby told him how he “died,” he had flashes of the elevator accident, so those memories are in there.
Before Abby arrived, Jack was in Horton Square getting coffee when Hope (Kristian Alfonso) spotted him.
She didn’t seem too shocked to see a dead man was really alive because this was Salem after all. When he said he remembered nothing, she decided to give him an education he didn’t appreciate.
It became very clear Eve was making his family look like the bad guys, as she informed Jack that Abigail locked a bunch of women in a hidden room last year. He was horrified to learn she was violent.

Finally, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) arrived and Jack wasn’t sure what to even say to her. We soon saw Eve in the park ready to meet a mysterious stranger…
At the Salem PD, Rafe (Galen Gering) ripped into Gabi (Camila Banus) for what she did to Abigail. Rafe was further ticked off when Hope suggested hiring Ted (Gilles Marini) as her lawyer.
Will (Chandler Massey) spent some time having a pity party with Chad (Billy Flynn) and lamenting his Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) woes.
Meanwhile, Sonny was intrigued when Leo said Sonny should stop complaining about his mother considering how horrid his own mother was.
