The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, January 17 features Gabi willing to lay it all on the line to get her company back from Stefan.
When Gabi told Stefan that Chad’s tearing up her contract, Stefan nixed it. She told him revenge doesn’t fill the hole, but he didn’t care.
Gabi picked up the fireplace poker to threaten him, but Chad walked in and said he’s not worth it. When Chad said there’s no decision on who is CEO, Gabi walked out. Chad told Stefan he’s not driving him out of the house again, which angered Stefan.
Ted (Gilles Marini) continued to come between Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering). Rafe learned Stefan was released and blamed Ted — but Hope stood up for him. Rafe accused her of not caring about justice for Gabi.
Rex (Kyle Lowder) surprised Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) but Sarah was still cold towards her former fiance. Rex continued to work Eric for his help with Sarah, but even with his help Sarah wasn’t warming up.
Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) wondered why Xander (Paul Telfer) was so calm. When they couldn’t find the video footage, they were furious.
Abe (James Reynolds) showed Sheila (Tionne “T Boz” Watkins) he had tickets for Sade after Valerie cancelled. He then invited her to go, shocking her. Eli and Lani walked in as she asked if a date’s appropriate.
They told him about the missing footage, and Sheila recalled John Black (really Xander) and his cute accent asking for the footage.
Abe was furious at Sheila, and she felt bad about messing up but warned him about firing her since he just asked her for a date. He gave up and gave her the tickets.
Hope confronted Xander and accused him of deleting evidence. He laughed at her and she realized they had to let him go. Meanwhile, Rafe got a call from Sami.
