The Days of our Lives recap for Friday, July 5 features odd moves, shocking situations, and questionable behavior. Rex’s jealousy got to him, Hope was onto something, and Kristen discovered two captors.
Oh, The Drama
Kristen and Xander (Paul Telfer) were the sources of much drama. Xander’s necklace got to Rex (Kyle Lowder) and he opted to remove it from his life and give it away. Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) is now the bearer of that burden.
He also faced harsh questions from Brady (Eric Martsolf) and then from Hope (Kristian Alfonso). It seems he did not cross all his I’s and dot his T’s when it came to Ted (Gilles Marini) and Kate (Lauren Koslow). Too may lose strings set off alarm bells.
Thanks, I hate You.
Speaking of Chloe, she learned a fast lesson in dealing with post-Holly Nicole. She showed up with cookies to apologize but found herself in tears instead. “Nicole” was mean, vicious and made it clear she still blamed Chloe for the little girl’s death. She did take the cookies, though.
No Loose Lips Here
Xander’s story of meeting Ted at a pawn shop did not sit well with Hope. She knew he was lying and pushed and pushed. Unfortunately, it did no good. Xander quickly became a vault and went on lockdown.

A Startling Secret
“Nicole” caused quite the stir at the DiMera mansion when she went head to head with Gabi (Camila Banus). The women squabbled and squawked until Stefan (Brandon Barash) came in. He diffused the fight but then caused a new one when he forced the women to plan a gala together.
That was just about enough to do Kristen in. She stormed off to the tunnel to give herself a break. There, in the dungeon, she found Ted and Kate very, very much alive.
Not only were the duo alive but they were locked in a passionate kiss. Ted had a champagne bath and Kate couldn’t resist the urge to snuggle right in. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
