The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, May 2 features a day of shockers in Salem. Claire pulled a Claire, Sheila and Abe were exposed, and Lani made a shocking move.
Off the Hook
Bombshell news came to Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) and JJ (Casey Moss). The lighter was in the clear and not the one from the cabin. What did that mean and where will the investigation go from there? Eli (Lamon Archey) simply did not know.
Baby Fever
What Eli did know is his girlfriend was way too invested in baby David. Alarm bells wete already ringing but full on sirens went off with Lani (Sal Stowers) took a leave of absence to care for the little boy!
Debate Disaster
Thankfully, he had his mother to lean on. Valerie came back to support Abe during his debate but ended up with egg on her face.
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) had Abe (James Reynolds) and Sheila (Tionne Watkins) kissing right on tape. They wasted no time showing it to Salem when the mayor debate needed to be tipped in their favor.

Claire Went Off!
It was good news/bad news for Haley (Thia Megia). She was allowed to stay in the U.S., but it could take years to get her green card.
In the meantime, they had to deal with ICE. The agent showed up once again and this time was shocked to find Claire living there. No matter, Haley passed it off as Claire picking up her things.
Talk about making a mess! Haley saved herself at the moment but maybe ruined her whole life. Claire flipped out over the idea of moving out and got worse when Tripp insisted she pack up her bags. It is the only way to protect Haley.
It was no surprise Claire’s jealousy spiraled out of control. Sure, she did what she was told but toyed with the idea of lighting the loft (or maybe just Haley) on fire on the way out.
