The Days of Our Lives recap (DOOL) for Thursday, September 7 has Abe finally enjoying life on the outside as his son wishes he’d had more faith in him.
Father and Son Reunion
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) was on social media defending Abe (James Reynolds), which had Theo (Kyler Pettis) suffering a case of the guilts since he didn’t believe in him.
At the Salem PD, Abe received a hero’s welcome from the cops, including JJ (Casey Moss). He also had words with Raines, putting the man in his place.
Later, Theo finally got to reunite with his father when Abe stopped by with Valerie (Vanessa Williams). Theo apologized to his dad, and Abe forgave him — and wanted to take them all out for dinner. But Claire felt they should enjoy some alone time.
Andre (Thaao Penghlis) was ready to get back at Kate (Lauren Koslow) and told her he would be having a press conference. She showed up and saw he was there with “Marlena,” who promised to back him up. Andre then announced that his marriage is a sham and that Kate cheated on him.

Roman (Josh Taylor) tried to claim responsibility for the kiss. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) was peeved because she expected real news — not a kiss. Andre claimed he was replacing Kate as CEO of DiMera. He expected Marlena to back him up, but Hattie (Deidre Hall) instead claimed that he is mentally incompetent, shocking Andre.
Caught In a Lie
Paul (Christopher Sean) told Sonny that he asked Shane to confirm his father’s on an ISA mission, but soon comes word that Shane can’t. Now Paul knows that “Marlena” lied, and he’s determined to find out why and what the heck is going on with her.
Wedding Bells
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Marci Miller) were relieved to learn that Gabi (Camila Banus) is safe after her ordeal. They can’t wait to be husband and wife again and shared their big news with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and JJ (Casey Moss). They’ve picked a date!
Back home, Chad and Abby caught Andre’s botched press conference, and Abby couldn’t help but feel badly for Andre.
