The Days of Our Lives recap for Friday, January 4 features Chad trying to get through to Abby but she can’t believe the man he’s become.
Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) were shocked when Gabi (Camila Banus) told them what Stefan did to her and that Ben kidnapped her for him.
Rafe wanted to go kill Stefan but Hope said to do it by the book. Instead, he ended up putting him in a headlock. As he was set to leave, Rafe got a call and put Stefan under arrest for treason.
(Fun fact: We can assume this espionage involved a country we are at war with. Otherwise, it’s not treason. It’s just plain espionage. That’s what the U.S. Constitution says so we’re sticking with it.)
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) apologized to Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and she asked why he missed their date. He lied and said routine business.
She bad-mouthed Stefan and he stood up for him, feeling for the guy after learning Abby’s baby wasn’t his — he knows what that feels like.
Ciara admitted to having a crush on Chad at one point and asked if he was jealous. He admitted to being a monster when jealous. She told him he’s a better man now.

Hope interrupted Ciara’s date and told her he kidnapped Gabi. Ciara asked if it was true — and Ben asked if he’s being arrested.
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) asked Roman (Drake Hogestyn) if he saw anything suspicious when he found Jack dead. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) arrived and Jennifer asked about the serum and she said JJ already asked and she’s checking.
Jack (Matthew Ashford) confronted Eve (Kassie DePaiva) about her lies. He realized she was helping to get revenge on Jennifer. She said that was just a bonus but she enjoys his company. She told him they’re both bad and could be great together — and the two kissed.
Abigail (Kate Mansi) was angry to find Chad (Billy Flynn) with Charlotte. He was furious to hear she isn’t pressing charges against Gabi, as he wants her to suffer. Chad also admitted to being fired and Abby was disappointed in him after hearing why.
