DONE How Honest Should Joey Be With His New Brother on Days of Our Lives?

When a fellow’s parents get remarried, it shouldn’t be too surprising to get a new brother down the line. However, on Days of Our Lives, Joey wasn’t prepared for one to pop up only a few days after Steve and Kayla’s wedding — oh, and to be older than him, too.

That’s because this brother, at the moment known as Tripp Dalton, is the son of Steve and Ava (Tamra Braun) — a woman Joey (James Lastovic) kinda, sorta killed. How will Joey explain that detail to Tripp? Almost 9,000 viewers offered their advice.

Zip It!
The majority of fans, 80%, don’t see a need for Joey to ever mention it to Tripp. After all, how often does, “Say, you didn’t murder my mother by any chance, did you?” come up in conversation?

Trip is going to have a hard enough time adjusting to learning that Ava is dead, that Steve (Stephen Nichols) is his father, and that Joey and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) are part of the package (not to mention the rest of the hard-to-tell-apart Bradys). He doesn’t not need any extraneous information that he didn’t ask for.

Confession is Good for the Soul
Of course, odds are, Tripp (Lucas Adams) will ask how his mother died eventually. This is where 17% of you think Joey should make a full confession and beg for forgiveness.

Of course, as long as he’s confessing, he might want to throw in the part about how the reason Joey suffocated a drugged-up Ava in her hospital bed was because the woman had kidnapped his mother, forced his father to make a sex tape, and messed with Joey’s head. That might put things into perspective a little better.

Turn, Turn, Turn
Joey was never punished for killing Ava, and 3% of the audience think he’d feel better about the whole thing if he turned himself in to the police. But, considering that the Bradys just spent months arguing that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) shouldn’t be punished for killing a man because he was a bad, bad man, why shouldn’t the same terms apply to Joey with Ava?
