The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, May 1 features John trying to move heaven and earth (well, Gabigail) to track down Marlena and the others… but is he too late?
Devastating Blow
After realizing they were running out of air, Vivian (Louise Sorel), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Kate (Lauren Koslow) tried and failed to find a vent they could open.
Vivian told Kate that Andre made a fool of her. He worked with Vivian for a year so that she and Stefan could take over. Kate wouldn’t believe it. Vivian went into more detail, which angered Kate.
Paul (Christopher Sean) realized that Marlena may have figured out everything about Abby. Trask arrived and wanted Hope to release Gabigail and Stefan, but John stepped in and said not until Marlena is found.
Stand By Her Man
Dr. Laura told Gabigail (Marci Miller) what she did to the women and told her Stefan would be blamed, and if he ended up dead, so be it. Gabigail fumed.
Gabigail refused to let Dr. Laura take over and screamed. The others ran in to find “Abigail” wearing the wig and glasses. Gabigail took off the glasses and retained control.
She admitted she knew where the women were and they’re losing air. She demanded full immunity for her and Stefan or else she wasn’t spilling.

She also wanted one more thing — a phone call with Stefan, which Trask arranged. As Gabigail made the call, John busted into the DiMera mansion with Paul and Hope.
They found the secret room but when they opened the door, all three women looked dead.
A Mother’s Wrath
Earlier, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) confronted Stefan (Tyler Christopher) and accused him of turning Abby into a vicious person. He claimed she doesn’t understand. She wanted an answer and he told her he was sorry — which just ticked her off more.
Love Will Prevail
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) overheard Steve (Stephen Nichols) confiding in Eric (Greg Vaughan) and later told her husband she heard them. She asked him to let her in, but he told her he feared being a burden.
Kayla asked him to promise they would tackle the good and dark days together. He told her she’s all the light he needs. Awww…
