The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Thursday, May 10 features a not-so-good-terrible-bad-day for Stefan as he gets more horrific news.
Keeping Vigil
Vivian (Louise Sorel) tried to kill Kate (Lauren Koslow), and Stefan (Tyler Christopher) arrived in time to hear the gun go off. He quickly found his mother on the ground bleeding and got help.
On the Hot-Seat
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) told a disappointed Rafe (Galen Gering) that Abby didn’t confess. Hearing Stefan was spotted at the mansion, Rafe headed over and saw what went down.
Stefan accompanied his mother to the hospital as Rafe questioned Kate. After, he called Hope and updated her.
Kate arrived at the hospital and heard Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) tell Stefan his mother died. A shocked Kate later overheard Stefan vow to avenge Vivian’s death.
Seeking Answers
Abigail (Marci Miller) asked Chad (Billy Flynn) about her missing time, and he told her the alters are gone. Abby insisted they go to the station and she confessed to Hope, making Hope promise to get Gabby out.

Chad asked if he could take Abby home, but Hope said it might not be a good idea because Stefan is there. She later told Chad about the shooting and told a happy Rafe about Abby’s confession.
Meanwhile, Abby asked Chad what the deal was with Stefan and Gabigail, but again he kept the truth from her. For some reason, they were both allowed to leave the station.
Chasing A Story
Paul (Christopher Sean) and Will (Chandler Massey) returned from dinner to find Roger (John Enos) in Will’s apartment. After catching up on each other’s lives, he handed Will Rolf’s diary. Will was thrilled, and the two said their goodbyes.
Paul worried about Will while they read the diary and about how Rolf saved him. As they read it, a hand was seen shooting the special potion into Vivian’s lifeless body!
