The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for January 26 shows progress being made on solving Andre’s murder as Abigail receives comfort from a surprising – and upsetting source.
Chad (Billy Flynn) was shocked Kate (Lauren Koslow) cried over Andre. She asked why Andre betrayed her, and he brought up Stefano — power overrules the heart. They then mused if ever there was a time for Stefano to reveal himself, it would be now.
Comfort From A Surprising Source
Gabi (Camila Banus) turned the tables on Abigail (Marci Miller) and asked if maybe she killed Andre. Abigail brought up Nick, and Gabi brought up Ben. Gabi then said she wanted him alive to sue, and Abby apologized. Soon, Stefan (Tyler Christopher) barged in on them.
After Gabi left, Stefan wanted to put out a press release, and an upset Abigail couldn’t focus. He hugged Abby to comfort her and she soon broke away and left.
Lani (Sal Stowers) was thrown when Eli (Lamon Archey) confronted her about the baby. She lied that JJ’s the father but he didn’t buy it. He brought up never knowing his own father and doesn’t want his kid to go through the same thing. Later, Lani told Gabi she had a confession to make.
On the Case
Rafe (Galen Gering) told Hope (Kristian Alfonso) that while the urn was the murder weapon, they couldn’t confirm the ashes belong to Tony. He wondered if someone set Anna up.
Rafe and Eli (Lamon Archey) went to the DiMera mansion and served a warrant for the security footage and found a clue.
Roman (Josh Taylor) met with John (Drake Hogestyn) and asked him to look into who sent Anna (Leann Hunley) the note. John warned he couldn’t interfere in an open police case but Roman rationalized around that.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) was wearing glasses and warned Tripp (Lucas Adams) not to laugh. Tripp was upset he didn’t tell him he was having issues but Steve claimed to see perfectly now.
John arrived and updated Steve on the Anna case. And then he doused Steve’s drink with the poison again.
