The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Thursday, December 7 features a shifting triangle between Will, Paul, and Sonny.

Powerful Attraction
Sonny (Freddie Smith) showed up at Paul’s (Christopher Sean), but inside a smitten Will (Chandler Massey) planted quite a kiss on Paul. When Sonny knocked, Will answered and admitted he was there to learn more about himself and not just that he went on picnics. He told Sonny he learned the bad stuff too.

Will asked why Sonny failed to tell him any of this, putting him on the spot. He said he didn’t want to overwhelm Will. Sonny wanted to talk with Paul alone and Will said they’re in the middle of something, but he eventually left and Paul was thrilled Sonny wanted to talk.

Paul apologized for not being more patient but a guilt Sonny told him not to apologize and instead told him their relationship’s over. Sonny even used the “friends some day” line. Paul was broken as Sonny kept saying he wants Will. Paul then asked what if Will doesn’t want him? Sonny doesn’t want Paul waiting for him.

Down in the Dumps
Eric (Greg Vaughan) did his best to comfort Sami (Alison Sweeney), and the two fought as siblings tend to do.

Sami revealed she has to leave to take care of her other kids and Eric suggested she not push Will, so Eric went to see him. Sami got a call from someone and she asked if someone was alive. (EJ?)

Something’s Fishy
Steve (Stephen Nichols) confronted Tripp (Lucas Adams) about Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Tripp eventually spilled everything. Steve assured Tripp that Kate will pay.

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) found Kate visiting Theo (Kyler Pettis) and overheard her apologizing to him. Kayla asked why, but Kate told her to mind her own business.

When Kayla asked about Tripp, Kate felt cornered and took off as soon as Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) arrived.

Claire apologized to Theo for their fight that night. Ciara (Victoria Konefal), who just arrived to see Theo, overheard. Claire asked for more time since she had Tripp covering for her but Ciara said no and Claire left.

Earlier, Ciara let Claire know that she’s moving back in and that she doesn’t believe a word out of Claire’s mouth. After Claire left, Ciara had a fantasy of Theo choosing her and then trashed a framed photo of Claire and Theo. Later, she vowed to make Claire pay, blaming her for Theo’s shooting.
