The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, May 2 features John, Paul, and Hope rescue Marlena, Vivian, and Kate and the women explain just how they ended up in the secret room.
Operation Rescue
John (Drake Hogestyn) found Vivian (Louise Sorel), Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Kate (Lauren Koslow) unconscious and they were revived. Hope interviewed them all. John told Vivian about Stefan.
Kate learned Chad was arrested. When Marlena inquired, Hope told her that Abigail has told everyone her name is Gabby. Before Hope had to leave, Marlena warned that things with Abby are complicated.
Paul told Kate about seeing Vivian with Sonny’s new assistant and that he planned to continue investigating. She warned him to be discreet and then asked what he looked like, realizing she saw Leo with Vivian.
Causing A Headache
Gabigail (Marci Miller) spoke with Stefan (Tyler Christopher) as Abigail finally met Dr. Laura in her mind. After learning she was there to protect her, Abby escaped — finding herself at the police station.
She heard Stefan calling for Gabby and freaked to hear him plead with Gabby to return. She hung up and called Chad but left a message asking for help.

Hope entered and hugged Abby, trying to let her know she’d be okay but Dr. Laura took over, saying only she could help Abby.
Catching Up
Will (Chandler Massey) visited Gabi (Camila Banus) and they talked about Abby, Ari, and Sonny. He told her about Leo but that Paul is investigating him. Will promised to take care of Ari with Sonny and said she’d be back with her soon.
Helping Hand
Leo (Greg Rikaart) dropped by Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) for business, to save him from being late on a deal. Sonny apologized for being rude and admitted he was worried about his daughter’s mother.
As they spoke of her, Ari overheard. Leo jumped in and gave Ari a box of chocolates, saying they were from Gabi, which impressed Sonny. The almost kissed but stopped short.
