The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for March 29 features Steve going through emotional turmoil as he trades his patch for dark glasses due to his having gone totally blind.
Into the Darkness
Steve (Stephen Nichols) announced to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) that he couldn’t see anything. She had him take her arm so they could go to the hospital.
John (Drake Hogestyn) found Marlena (Deidre Hall) at the hospital and asked her to lunch. He sensed she was hiding something. She admitted she’s researching trials for Steve and then Steve and Kayla arrived. Marlena went with Kayla to find the specialist while John got Steve settled into a room.
Steve asked him to buy him out of Black Patch, but John said he’s too valuable. John told Marlena he wanted to help Steve get his mojo back. Meanwhile, Steve and Kayla were upset after they spoke to the specialist. Steve broke down about removing his patch and trading it for glasses but Kayla helped him.
Trouble in Paradise?
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) told Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) that voting’s begun on the Face of Bella contest.

Tripp didn’t want to vote, which upset Ciara. Tripp refused to objectify women by voting, which Ciara wanted to appreciate but she was too hurt.
Work Issues
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) wanted to end their association but Brady (Eric Martsolf) let her know it was too late – the contest has begun. She tried to get him to sign over Bella to him but he wouldn’t.
Stalker At Large?
Chloe (Nadia Bjlorlin) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) questioned Miguel Garcia, who revealed it’s really his boss who sent the flowers. He told her she ignored his outreach and she apologized. He asked her to join the boss for dinner but Lucas said no. He also wanted to make an opera in Mexico for Chloe and she took his card.
