The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, September 22 features Eric making a bold move that hurts Nicole more than expected, while Sonny is finally ready to open up to Paul about the elephant in the room — Will.
From the Heart
Nicole (Arianne Zucker) learned that Eric (Greg Vaughan) quit his job at the Horton Center and set off to find him. Along the way, she ran into Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) but Jenn told her she’s took late — Eric’s gone. At his cabin, Eric knocked over a box of pictures of Nicole, which he left behind.
Tainted Dreams
All this talk of Will (thanks Lucas!) has permeated Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) subconscious that now he’s even dreaming about his late husband. Paul (Christopher Sean) tried to get him to open up about what’s bothering him, but Sonny wasn’t ready yet.
Later, Paul learned his grandfather is in the hospital, and his mother doesn’t want to leave his side so she will have to miss the wedding. Paul was sad but okay about it. They decide to fill out their questionnaire for the church. But Paul cornered Sonny instead about why he doesn’t want to talk about Will.

No More Pushover
Sonny may have more problems on the horizon. Brady (Eric Martsolf) has been enjoying his time as the head of Titan, and he indicated to Sonny he may not be willing to give up the CEO position. Living with Victor (John Aniston) seems to really be rubbing off on Brady, as his Kiriakis side has become more dominant.
Wedding Snag
Abigail (Marci Miller) and Chad (Billy Flynn) were canoodling at the DiMera mansion as they awaited their upcoming wedding. Sure, they’ve had a couple of issues to weed through but for the most part it’s been smooth sailing. But Abigail told Chad they may not be getting married tomorrow after a phone call from Justin.
