The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, June 22 features Eli breaking the horrible news to Lani that their son didn’t survive.
Horrible News
Valerie (Vanessa Williams) tried to comfort Eli (Lamon Archey), who felt like he’s lost everything, while Abe (James Reynolds) stayed by Lani’s (Sal Stowers) bedside. She woke and asked about her baby, but Abe stalled and left.
Eli told Lani they had a boy but that he died. She broke down in his arms and then insisted on seeing her baby.
Uh Oh
Stefan (Tyer Christopher) double crossed Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) were double crossed. He offered to put Basic Black under the DiMera umbrella, infuriating them. Stefan said it’d be great revenge against Victor, and Brady agreed to consider it.
Theresa (Jen Lilley) was there for JJ (Casey Moss), who was distraught about Lani losing her baby.
He confided his guilty feelings to her, and she tried to comfort him. She told JJ she had a big surprise for Brady as Brady learned she was suing him for custody of Tate.

Free At Last
Gabi (Camila Banus) arrived at Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) and he realized she’s angry at Abigail as well as Stefan. When Ari saw Gabi, she rejected her mother, so Gabi vowed to make Stefan pay for everything he did and then showed up at the mansion.
Good For the Soul
Kate (Lauren Koslow) was shocked to hear Chad (Billy Flynn) is the new CEO of Titan and told him he couldn’t take it. Chad refused and said he planned to destroy whoever was working with Leo, and Kate confessed it was her, angering him.
Kate explained, but he remained furious. She said she did it to get back at Stefan and warned he’d have no power base if he tells Sonny.
She took out his father’s ring and held it up to Chad, telling him he’s the new Phoenix. She promised to make the lawsuit disappear, so Chad ignored a call from Sonny and put on his father’s ring.
