The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for December 27 has Kate finally facing the music regarding her part in what happened to Theo.
Heart-to-Heart Talk
Abe (James Reynolds) and Lani (Sal Stowers) let Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Chad (Billy Flynn) know that Theo (Kyler Pettis) said he was acting on his own when he tried to break into that building. Inside with Theo and Chad, Kate asked him why he lied to his father and sister.
He recalled the time she could have been really mad at him when he spilled champagne on her wedding dress and she didn’t get mad. That meant everything to him. But their exchange did nothing to change Chad’s mind about Kate. He said he lost respect for her. When Abe walked by, Kate confessed everything.
Written All Over His Face
Abigail (Marci Miller) continued to be Team Andre (Thaao Penghlis) as she asked why he covered for Kate. She also wondered why he was staying in the marriage when it wasn’t necessary any more.
Big Date!
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) continued to grow closer. JJ (Casey Moss) interrupted them to tell them Theo woke up. He then admitted he was really low but that a good friend got him through the worst of it. JJ told Eric he would like to set something up with him.

JJ left and Jennifer and Eric played Scrabble, which oddly drew them even closer. Jennifer asked Eric to Abigail’s New Year’s Eve party. He asked if this was a date and she said it was as friends. He laughed and spelled out ‘I say yes’ in Scrabble.
Back at his place, JJ grabbed the tickets for Lani that were in his note to her and headed to see her. She loved the tickets and he asked to be her date for it. She told him she never wants them to be apart again.
Family Rivalry
Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) had it out…again… over Theo as Claire tried to stop her from seeing him and the two came to blows in the square. People even recorded it. Tripp (Lucas Adams) broke them apart and kept Ciara from following Claire. Ciara tried to get Tripp to team up with her to break them up.
